Obituary for Barbara Lou Schwarz Brown

Barbara Lou Schwarz Brown, age 76, formerly of Taneytown, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Health Center of Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA. Born August 28, 1941 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Vera Balsbaugh Schwarz. She was the wife of William L. Brown III who died in 2010.
Barbara was a member of the Uniontown Bible Church where she was involved in the women’s ministry and led several Bible studies. She was formerly employed as director of marketing of HSP of Carroll County. She was a member of the Emmaus Community and enjoyed beading and making jewelry.
Surviving are sons, William L. Brown IV and wife Michele of Taneytown and Robert B. Brown and wife Mary of Herndon, VA; grandchildren, William L. Brown V, Gabriel Miles Brown, Jacob Michael Brown, Lucille Catherine Brown, Molly McGuire Brown and Carly Elizabeth Brown.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21 at Uniontown Bible Church, 4280 Watson Lane, Union Bridge, with her son, Pastor William Brown, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
