Obituary for William Louis Price, Sr.

Mr. William Louis Price Sr., age 93, of Union Bridge, died Friday, September 8, 2017 at his home. Born November 8, 1923 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Herbert William Price Sr. and Gertrude Ann Quinn Price. He was the loving husband of Julia Jones Price, his wife of 67 years.
Mr. Price was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Chevy Chase, and immediately enlisted in the Army, serving during World War II with Co. I, 155th Infantry in the Pacific Theater. He later attended Capital Radio Engineering Institute (C.R.E.I.) in Washington, D.C. He was formerly employed with the telephone company for 38 years, while also working for Chevy Chase Chevrolet for 20 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, hiking trips at Skyline Drive, VA, visiting relatives in NC and FL, attending classic auto shows and working puzzles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, William Louis Price Jr. and wife Jo Ann of Ashburn, VA; Thomas Marshall Price and wife Linda and Julia Marie Davis and husband Lawrence, all of Union Bridge; Elizabeth Ann Rogers and husband Thomas of Silver Spring and Robert Wayne Price and wife Michelle of Gaithersburg; grandchildren, Shawn, Jason, Kevin, Kristen, Jared, Troy, Nathan, Charles, Mary, Joshua and Joseph; great grandchildren, Simon, Aaralyn and Colette; sister, Nancy Price Schatz of Rockville and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Herbert W. Price and sister, Gertrude Ann Deeds.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Libertytown, with Rev. Fr. Jason Worley as the celebrant.
Interment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
