Obituary for Tyler Alexander Johnson

Tyler Alexander Johnson, age 18, of Mt Airy, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Born September 27, 1999 in Murmasnsk, Russia, he was the son of John “Jay” and Amber E. Kondor Johnson. Tyler and his brother Zachary were lovingly adopted from Russia in 2002.

He was a graduate of Linganore High School class of 2017, he was a soccer and rugby player and was also a competitive gamer. He was humorous, strong-willed and opinionated, but was always considerate of others, now giving the gift of life as an organ donor. He was especially fond of his golden retriever, Cookie.

In addition to his parents he is survived by maternal grandparents, Eugene and Darlene Kondor; paternal grandparents, Mike and Mary Johnson and a brother, Zachary Ivan Johnson.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 1 block north of the intersection of Rt. 26 and Rt. 75 in Libertytown. Rev. Fr. Chuck Wible will be the celebrant.

The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Rd., Libertytown 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 5.
