Obituary for Shirley A. Clabaugh

Shirley Ann Shry Clabaugh, age 80, formerly of Greencastle, PA, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Lorien of Mt. Airy.
Born January 12, 1937 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Emma Louise Fawley Shry and Sidney William Shry Jr. Her step mother was the late Grace Fogle Shry. She was the wife of Carroll Joseph Clabaugh, who predeceased her in 2011.
Mrs. Clabaugh was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and was formerly employed at Random House. She was always willing to babysit children of many friends and neighbors. She loved crocheting, playing bingo, reading, gardening and bird watching, but first and foremost spending time with her family. She was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving are children, Judy Carter, David Clabaugh and wife Melissa, Linda Frazier and husband Billy, Steve Clabaugh and wife Patty and Mike Clabaugh; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a half-sister, Bonnie Krebs; sister-in-law, Netta Jane Clabaugh; and son-in-law, Bruce Carter.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge. Billy Horton will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
